Your adventure begins with a visit to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre, Cambodia’s largest wildlife sanctuary and a leading facility for the protection of animals rescued from illegal trafficking and abuse. As you explore the sanctuary, you will encounter gibbons, sun bears, elephants, deer, and a vast bird aviary filled with exotic species. Operated with the support of international NGOs, Phnom Tamao offers a meaningful and educational experience showcasing Cambodia’s ongoing commitment to wildlife conservation.
Next, your journey continues to the incredibly peaceful and spiritually significant Puth Kiri Pagoda, also known as the Land of 20,000 Buddhas. Here, you will walk up 199 steps lined with 2,000 gold-plated Buddha statues, leading you to a magnificent 10-meter-tall Buddha statue overlooking the surrounding landscape.
